How to fold pleated Shupatto Bags
Folding these lovely pleated bags is easy: pull back both ends of the bag and it will fold flat into its pleats. Then you can roll it up and snap the button closure. Always neatly folding up the bag helps to maintain the pleats!
About Shupatto
Japanese brand Shupatto wanted to design sustainable bags that can be used over and over again. For this concept they were inspired by Japanese foldable non-woven work caps that are used for product inspection. These pleated caps return easily into their original shape when the ends are pulled.
Shupatto finds it important that their products are continuously used. From this perspective, they ingenuously design products and conduct repeated tests. Their pleated foldable bags have been awarded with the Red Dot Design Award.
